Diversity Management

As a media company, ProSiebenSat.1 is a people business. We appreciate and respect the individual characteristics of our employees. They are an important part of our corporate culture. We are convinced that our ability to compete in the future is significantly dependent on how we promote and use this diversity. We feel that it is particularly important for us to achieve a good balance of men and women within the Company and in management positions. In 2015, 46.8 % of ProSiebenSat.1 employees were female (previous year: 45.5 %) and 53.2 % were male (previous year: 54.5 %).

The ratio of women in management positions was 29.0 % (previous year: 29.9 %), while 27.9 % of managers in the core market of Germany were female (previous year: 29.0 %). This value is in line with the average in German companies (Federal Office of Statistics 2014: 29.0 %). In order to continue promoting a balanced ratio of men and women, the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE also set targets for the ratio of women on the two management levels below the Executive Board in September 2015. The target is 15 % for the first management level and 25 % for the second, both to be achieved by June 30, 2017. We already meet the target for the ratio of women on the first management level.

For ProSiebenSat.1, diversity means that employees are hired exclusively on the basis of their skills. Factors such as gender, nationality, sexual orientation and age play no role. In financial year 2015, ProSiebenSat.1 employed people from around 50 different nations in Germany. In 2015, the average age of the employees was 36.7 years. 26.0 % of the employees were under 30 years old. 67.8 % of the employees were between 30 and 50 and 6.1 % of the employees were over 50 years old. ProSiebenSat.1 Group also signed the Diversity Charter in 2014 and follows the guidelines stipulated therein. By joining this initiative, the Group underlines its commitment to creating a working environment free of prejudice that promotes diversity at employee level.
