Work-Life Package

It seems natural to us to help our employees balance career and family life. Our company agreements aim at a good work-life balance for our employees. At our headquarter location in Unterföhring, we offer corresponding services to all employees, including temporary and part-time employees.

We make it easier to balance careers and private lives with flextime models, teleworking jobs and part-time work. The new working hours model (FlexTime) was introduced as part of a company agreement at the start of 2015 and offers employees a generous flextime arrangement as well as various opportunities for compensatory time off. In addition, the model governs mobile work at home and while traveling. In Germany, every employee has the right to parental leave. At ProSiebenSat.1, we offer our workforce numerous additional benefits such as a gift of money on the birth of a child, flexible working hours and our own daycare center with over 70 places.

According to the most recent survey by the Federal Office of Statistics from 2014, the ratio of parents on parental leave among all employed parents was around 20 % — of which around 40 % were women and around 2 % were men. At ProSiebenSat.1, 74 men and 151 women took parental leave in 2015. The average duration of the parental leave was 3.1 months for men and 17.8 months for women. We also support our employees with flexible re-entry models when they return to work, which are very well received. Twelve months after the end of parental leave, 93.9 % of employees that took parental leave were working again. This figure was 94.6 % for women and 93.6 % for men. In 2015, the ratio of part-time employees of ProSiebenSat.1 in Germany increased to 16.8 % (previous year: 16.1 %).

Our employees also have the opportunity to eat a healthy and balanced diet in the canteen. Furthermore, the Unterföhring campus has its own gym with lots of courses, masseurs and a company doctor. Moreover, our employees can take time out via various sabbatical models. We also cooperate with an external partner that provides childcare and support in caring for family members. Regular employee surveys are also enshrined in the company agreement.
